FLOATING MUSEUM
The Mighty Mo is now permanently moored at Ford Island, just a ship's length from the world famous Arizona Memorial. I have walked the decks of the celebrated warship and encourage everyone who visits Hawaii to do so. The USS Missouri Memorial Association has worked diligently to open numerous areas of the ship and even provides educational sleep-overs for school kids.
A tour of the Mighty Mo is a fascinating and educational experience. And you can also visit the USS Arizona Memorial as well as the USS Bowfin submarine which are all accessed from the same visitor center.
The USS Missouri played an important role in US history. |
