About Royalty Free:

Traditionally, the stock photo industry has sold images on a one-time-use basis. For example, if a buyer planned to use a photo in a magazine ad, he or she would be charged for the one-time use in that ad in that particular issue of that publication, and would not granted the right to use the photo anywhere else. The buyer could not even use the photo in a repeat ad in a future issue of the same magazine without paying again. Furthermore, in addition to the base usage fee, the buyer would likely have had to pay royalties based on the number of imprints (copies) of the ad that were printed.

Royalty Free, as it is used here, means that with the purchase of these photos, the buyer pays only once for the use of these photos and does not have to pay additional royalties according to the number of imprints made. Furthermore the buyer may use the photos as many times as desired in as many projects as needed as long as these uses do not violate the restrictions outlined below.

Licensed Uses Include:

1. Advertising materials for video, TV and print.

2. Educational materials for video, TV and print.

3. Embellishment of products for resale such as clothing, packaging, audio or video CDs, DVDs, calendars, posters, greeting cards, etc.

4. Promotional, fundraising and personal use.

5. Materials used for display by Web browsers, whether on the World Wide Web, a private network, hard drive, audio CD or video CD, DVD, tape, etc.

Restrictions Include:

1. These images may not be resold as stock images or "clip photos" either singly or as part of a collection.

2. These images may not be used in, or to promote pornography, or materials that are defamatory ethnically, racially or religiously.

3. The buyer may only use the purchased photos in their own projects. The photos may not be loaned or passed on to other designers.
