Painting: Jade Pool
Misty, mysterious and very still except for the waterfall, what interested me in this scene was the color of the light and the mood it created. A thick carpet of soft moss covers all the rocks and much of the tree. The valley wall is thickly cloaked with Ama'u ferns which can grow as tall as twelve feet. Just above the falls, shadowy shapes beckon further exploration.
